Botulinum protein is used to erase expression lines. Biodegradable fillers are used to treat deep wrinkles, perioral wrinkles, nasolabial folds, bitterness folds and more.
This protein acts on a small muscle receptor, blocking it for 4 to 6 months. Depending on the dose injected, wrinkles can be reduced without freezing the expression. A treatment well done should not be visible.
Treatment
The injection – which is virtually painless – is made into the muscle affected by the wrinkle. The effect of the product is felt from the 3rd day. It gradually diminishes over 4 to 6 months.
Results
In most cases, wrinkles disappear completely, only to reappear a few months later, generally less deepened than before. There is no known habituation to the product, and no allergic reactions have been reported to date. It is also possible, by reducing muscle activity, to reduce the thickness of the masticatory muscles, thus refining a face, in patients with exaggeratedly wide faces.
Duration
The treatment lasts just a few minutes, and activities can be resumed immediately.
